Melissa Hough, OTR/L, C/NDT
Melissa is an occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience working with diverse pediatric populations in a variety of clinical settings.
Melissa completed her Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) Certification at City Kids in Chicago under the supervision of Madonna Nash, OTR/L, and Kacy Hertz, PT. She also completed the Sensory Integration (SI) Certification Program sponsored by The University of Southern California and Western Psychological Services (WPS). In addition to her advanced NDT and SI specialty certifications, Melissa is also a certified Interactive Metronome (IM) provider and has extensive experience adapting the program for the auditory, visual, and executive function needs of her clients.
Melissa has also attended courses for Therapeutic Listening; Handwriting Without Tears (HWT); Astronaut Training; Executive Functioning; Behavioral Feeding Therapy; evaluation and intervention of praxis; Wilbarger Deep Pressure Protocol; DIR/Floortime Model (taught by Stanley Greenspan); integration of NDT, SI, and motor learning; Autism evaluation and intervention; Alert Program, and many others.
Melissa spent several years in Chicago where she worked with and learned from a variety of talented therapists and had the opportunity to attend some of the best pediatric continuing education courses. Melissa is a native of Harlan County, KY, and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) in 1994.
Rob Hough, MAT, MBA
Rob is a former teacher and current technology director for a large local Christian school system. Rob has over 15 years of experience in information technology, education, and business.
Rob holds a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), a Rank I in Special Education with a Primary-12 Reading Specialist Endorsement, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Rob served as an Infantryman in the Illinois Army National Guard from 1992-1998.
